Jonathan Margolis, a member of Low, Ball & Lynch, from 1981 to 2005 died on Friday April 22, 2011. Jon graduated from Union College in New York and Boston College Law School. He joined LB&L immediately upon being admitted to the Bar in 1981. He practiced in our Redwood City office, before establishing our Monterey office. His practice encompassed a wide variety of civil litigation matters, but he distinguished himself in the area of construction defect litigation. His skills in handling these cases led to his eventual development of a practice as a Special Master, Mediator, and Arbitrator. He established his own office in 2005. |

LBL Sponsors Alameda County Juvenile Justice System Iron Chef Juvenile Competition On December 16, 2010, Low, Ball & Lynch co-sponsored the first-ever Iron Chef Juvenile competition at the Alameda County Juvenile Justice Center in San Leandro. The community service event was attended by about 150 guests representing all elements of Alameda County's juvenile justice system, including the judiciary and court staff, members of the Bar, sheriff's department, probation department, Court Appointed Special Advocates, Alameda County Independent Living Skills Program, Youth Uprising, and other youth justice and support organizations. |

LBL Welcomes Ramsey Kawar as a Shareholder Low Ball & Lynch, California's premier mid-sized litigation firm, is pleased to announce that Ramsey F. Kawar has been promoted to shareholder of the firm. Mr. Kawar joined the firm in 2006 and primarily practices landlord-tenant and construction dispute litigation, in addition to other types of civil litigation including employment and liability defense. A long-time San Francisco Bay Area resident, he attended UC Berkeley and obtained his JD/MBA from Santa Clara University in 2001. |

Laura Flynn Nominated to Serve an Additional Term on the ADC Board Shareholder Laura S. Flynn has been nominated to serve a third term on the Board of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada.
